Courtesy Reservations
Courtesy (telephone) Reservations temporarily hold canoes for you or your group until the deposit (or full payment) is received. Courtesy reservations are usually good for at least 3 days as long as the trip date is more than 10 days away.
Courtesy Reservations that are "paid in full" anytime prior to arrival will receive the advance discount. There are no refunds but remember, "Drop-in" prices will be slightly higher.
Confirmed Reservation by Deposit
A deposit of $20.00 per canoe or kayak reserved is required in advance for each and every boat you reserve. Receipt of the deposit "confirms" your reservation and guarantees availability for that number of canoes to be rented.
Reservation deposits are a "good faith payment" toward the final balance. Twenty ($20.00) Dollars will be deducted from the deposit for each and every boat that you reserve on deposit but do not rent.
If the deposit amount exceeds the final balance, no refund or credit will be allowed.
"Adding on" to an existing reservation is subject to availability and requires additional deposit(s) and payment in advance by the group leader.
GROUP Leaders should collect from and pay for everyone in the group AS A WHOLE. Individual payments will be priced slightly higher..

Cancellations and "Drop-Outs"
Too many cancellations or "Drop-outs" on your reservation may result in partial loss of the deposit and /or a higher price per adult (per day).
Payment in Advance guarantees the Discount. Reservations paid in advance guarantee the group size discount for all participants regardless of "no shows" or "drop-outs." (see refunds below).
Rescheduling and Refunds
EASTEX maintains a strict No Refund Policy within 10 days of the trip. If you must cancel at the last minute, your deposit may be forfeited. If this is unavoidable, call our office to release the canoes for re-booking and the possibility of a (partial) credit.
Families or Groups wishing to reschedule a confirmed reservation may do so (once per season) without penalty provided we receive at least 3 days advance notice.
We reserve the right to cancel a canoe date 24 - 48 hrs. prior due to the possibility of severe weather in our area (not yours) or possibly unsafe water conditions here. Although rare, when this occurs, all reservations will be allowed to reschedule to any available future date OR deposits may be refunded at our discretion. (30 days).
Cancellations made more than 10 days in advance will receive a full credit of the reservation deposit toward the balance.
No refund or future credit for deposit amounts in excess of the full amount due. Please reserve a reasonable number of boats based on your group size and nature (usually 2 or 3 persons per canoe).

Rainchecks
EASTEX CANOE TRAILS has no control over the weather nor can we predict it. We operate every day, RAIN OR SHINE. Ponchos and rain hats come in handy and make for a very memorable trip !!!
If SEVERE weather keeps us from operating, we will delay service temporarily until the weather is no longer SEVERE.
If SEVERE weather persists until after 12 noon, RAIN CHECKS will be issued to everyone present.
No Rain checks once the adventure begins!

Everyone should BE PREPARED to come into contact with rain, sun, sand, wind, deep water, strong currents, fallen trees, limbs, snags, strainers, underwater obstacles, heat, cold, wildlife of any kind or any condition or situation that may occur while participating in this kind of an outdoor recreational activity.
