(located on River Right) is developed on both sides of the creek.

(River Right) offers good access to the creek and serves well as an alternate take out as long as you understand how to locate it and understand that all persons over 13 yrs of age must pay a fee to enter a state park in

downstream of the state park is the confluence of Village Creek with the
Neches
River
.
This section offers more scenic and secluded Village Creek climaxed by the intimate stream’s confluence with the alluvial
Neches
River
.
Another two miles downstream on River Left is the Lakeview Sandbar (NPS) offering a good take-out for canoes and kayaks.
PRIVATE SHUTTLE SERVICES
Eastex Canoes offers paddlers with their own equipment reliable information, shuttle services and overnight parking for a reasonable fee.
Reservation deposits are required for full phone support from private boat owners who do not have reservations with our company.
Paddlers with their own boats will be charged a minimum fee depending on whether or not they are traveling with a party renting from Eastex Canoes.
Our office staff is very busy helping our families and groups who have hired our services in advance for their canoes, equipment and transportation.
Please do not expect our office staff to take the time to answer questions, give directions, discuss logistics or repeat information already provided on this website - unless your party has a reservation.

*Average Trip Time is the usual amount of time paddlers spend completing this canoe trail.
The Average Trip Time varies depending on the following conditions:
Water Level………Higher water levels result in faster trip times. During periods of low water (drought) - trip times will average longer.
Current……………The more current (flow) there is the shorter the trip time will be. Low water levels result in less current making trip times longer.
Temperatures…….daytime temperatures over 85 degrees F will usually result in longer trip times (swimming and resting). Lower temperatures result in shorter trip times.
Stopping Time……the amount of time you spend stopped swimming, fishing, picnicking, etc. Only YOU have control over the amount of time you spend stopped.
